Firzt Gen iPhone locked, need help unlocking it

Ok i have an old iphone.. muzt be the firzt generation cuz of the metel back 8gb'z... itz locked and at the top left it sayz "No SIM" i have a sim itz a T-Mobile sim itz pre-paid... if that matterz at all... anyway in the background it showz the pic 2 connect 2 itunez and in fromt of that it readz... "No Sim card installed. Insert a unlocked and valid sim card to activate iphone" i have no clue what firmware because i cant get in the phone AND the phone previously belonged 2 my girl's ex-b/f lmao so we cant really azk wtf he did 2 it... im on a PC running Windows 7... anyway thatz [retty much all the info i can think of, if theres something else yall need 2 know plz azk... is there anyway i can get it unlocked tho? Any help would be greatly appreachiated =)

You need an AT&T sim card then put it in plug it in to your pc and open iTunes. It'll activate the phone. Btw don't upgrade firmware version.

I cant... All i can get iz the "Emergency Call" screen


I read the restore Sticky and learned how 2 do that and did it... Sayz im now on 3.1.3... But when i open Redsn0w 0.9.2 it sayz.. "Unable 2 recognize specified IPSW" and im goin straight 2 the iPhone Software Upgrade folder so i dont get it

Thx @ Pujolz... Go0d link but now i got another prob =( LoL... Step 2 sayz... Start redsn0w 0.9.4 and point it to the respective original iPhone 3.1.2 firmware to proceed... I didnt have 3.1.2 so i d/led it and uzed HJsplit 2 combine the filez and get the .IPSW... started Redsn0w and it sayz the same thing... unable 2 recognize... Freakin suckz man

Nah man you uzin the wrong zoftware... you zhould uze RedZn0w.... that'z why it won't recognize the IPZW....

Alzo you zhould not uze cuztom firmwarez wit redzn0w.... try downloading a ztock IPZW....
