Does anyone know if there's way to fit the height of a frame to content (which is a placed image), but not the width - the width should be fixed.

The "fit frame to content" in InDesign fits the width of the frame also, which i don't want in this particular case.

Any tips are much appreciated!

Unless something new has been implemented since CS3, I don't know of a keyboard shortcut to fit the vertical height into the frame. You'd have to do it manually.

Click on the image with the white arrow/Direct Selection tool. Then in the toolbar above, adjust the height so it's the same as the image box.

Command + Shift + E will center the image.
