Fitbit flex, pointless now with "health" app?

Deals on at moment for a fitbit flex. I have an iPhone 6, so this now had a built in step tracker etc.

I'm only really interested in the step and sleep aspect, and the GPS tracking of walks, Fitbit flex says syncs with endomondo for this?

So is the Fitbit flex a little pointless now that the iPhone can track steps etc using the M8 co-processor?

I have a Fitbit Flex and an iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 is always way off on steps because I set my phone down all the time and walk away to do something.

Fitbits are great. It's so much more accurate than the iPhone's motion processor

I think the main thing is that most people dont have their phones in their pockets literally all day. Whereas a fitbit is small enough to just leave on your person at all times.
