Fitness+ Fitness+ on iPad and Apple Watch syncing?

Tried it for the first time today and for some reason it can’t find my Apple Watch? I’m currently wearing it and Bluetooth is on, but not sure what’s causing the issue? can it only be done on iPhone for it to be found on my AW?

I've had that issue and restarting phone/watch seemed to fix the disconnect. There are def some connection bugs that need to be worked out, hopefully soon with watch/ios/ipad os updates.
