Fitting logo to iPad wallpaper

Hi all
Need to load hundreds of iPads with client logo and no matter how many times I resize the jpeg it still stretches across the screen. I have tried adjusting size in preview (see screenshot) to all these dimensions but still no luck. Might be something small, anyone know?

Did you try doing a customer resolution and setting it to that of the iPad's display? 1024 x 768?

You may have to unconstrain proportions in order to set it as that.

Best size for iPad wallpaper is 1024x1024.
This will keep the image the same when being rotated. (although there will be an element of inevitable cut off)
