A+ for effort, but these instructions are actually far more complicated than the previous methods. I "patched" Candybar following the original tutorial in no more than 60 seconds and three steps. And I'm able to restore to the original Mavericks icons, if I so choose.

More power to you or anyone else, though, if this list of hoop-jumping helps them out. But the previous fixes seemed pretty idiot-proof to me.

Since replies and responses are a fundamental element to forum communities, I'd say that I'm probably okay with having "time for replies". But that's just me.

You didn't need to remove your 28 step process because of lil' old me. I'm sure someone, somewhere could've used it.
