While I was eating, I think some kind of sauce pr acidic water just splashed on the back of my laptop. When I noticed it, it already left some permanent stain. I clearly have no idea what it, probably something oily.

i tried to use a magic eraser, but it didn’t work.

Anyone knows if it will affect the value if I trade it in at the apple store?

or maybe there’s a solution to fix it

Thank you

Apple uses Phobios for trade ins. Its not Apple themselves. It will for sure devalue it about 600 bucks. If you sell on ebay I don't think it will devalue it much.

I just had a trade in with Apple/phobios with issues. I spoke to a phobios manager. Anything that has to do with the screen. (Which the top case is part of) is 600 bucks less.

Ok! I will probably have just apple fix it under apple care plus. It was only $99 on accidental damage
