Stupid question, hoping there is an obvious answer I have missed.

I'm on a 2010 MBP. I often play video via iTunes or VLC on my 2nd screen, which is the MiniDisplay Port via Adapter to HDMI to my TV. Most of the time however, the TV is just a TV.

When the TV is just a TV, is there any quick/easy way to tell apps that open on the TV screen, to come back to the MBP screen where I can see them, WITHOUT switching the TV back to computer display mode (my TV is painful slow) and manually dragging them?

NOT looking to run in mirror mode, or constantly toggle between mirror/separate.
NOT looking to constantly plug/unplug the monitor adaptor.
NOT looking to "just remember" to move them back to main screen after each use. (sometimes they go back to the TV on their own, seriously)

Basically, I just want a "gather windows" (as seen in display prefs) button/command/script that pulls ALL active windows to the MBP screen, when run.

Thanks in advance for any help.
