I found a temporary fix found on the internet for a failing logic board for a g4.
(my second ibook to fail)
anyway I really like this ibook and I taped a pen to the bottom left and pressed down and the problem disappeared. It's been about 2 weeks now. I wonder how long this fix will last?
Also, has anyone used the ebay company that claims to fix it for $55 if I remove it?

Seems too good to be true.

I had a G4 fixed without problems. From various postings that I have seen I would say the success rate is over 70%. It is worth the gamble.

Now I can't find the folks that do this.
Do you know the name or does anyone?

I can only locate G3 repair on ebay

I dont think is worth it, we try to fix a lot of G3 and G4 iBooks and they always will have problem soon, People try to re soldered the VGA chip to logic board with ordinary tools and the logic board fail few days later...this repair need a 200,000 machine to fix the problem in maybe 30-40% of the cases.

Thrust me you will trough away your money.
