Error - Connection Timeout
So I had this issue tonight, we are all familiar with it.
A - The issue was my WiFi to MacBook connection. I could connect to my neighbors open wifi with no issue.
B - I could connect to my router via ethernet with no issues.
Here is how I got my wifi to work.
1) Connect to your router via ethernet.
2) Go into your router settings and turn off your WiFi Security (make it open).
3) Wait a few seconds.
4) Unplug ethernet.
5) Wait a few seconds until your WiFi icon refreshes and shows an unsecured network.
6) Connect.
7) Go back into your router settings and turn your WiFi security back on.
This worked for me after I tried the following other solutions with no results:
1) Resetting MacBook like 20 times.
2) Holding down Control-Shift-Power-Whatever
3) Going into MacHD Library and deleting stored keychain for my wifi.
4) Removing all WiFi from my network list
5) Renewing DHCP Lease
6) Coping MAC Address into DHCP Client list under the TCP/IP banner.
7) There are a few others but I forgot them.
Seems like everyone has had this problem and one of these worked for a few people, but not everyone, and none worked for me. Hopefully this idea will be able to work for you!
