Over on the XvsXP forums I learned of a fix to the Safari security hole which has been uncovered in recent days. It's called "Don't Go There GURLFriend" and fixes the falw easily. Here it is.

Btw, I am not affiliated with the creators of the fix.
 
Nice, thanks for the heads up, me. Wow, that is kind of dangerous if you did the right command...I sure hope Apple and the Safari team patch this bugger up quickly.
 
I was drawn to this thread (as a Safari user) but as a layman I didn't get what the security leak was in the first place. Please explain

I also would like to know what the problems are. My preference would be for the actual fix to come directly from Apple.
