I recently bought a Magic Trackpad and have been pretty happy with it except that it was frequently misinterpreting my scroll gestures in my web browser.
I would scroll down and it would interpret that as "scrolling" left, to the previous page.
I have no idea why it was doing this because I even looked at my fingers when making the gesture a few times and if anything, they were moving down and slightly to the right, not left.
Anyway, I think I've solved the problem by going to the Trackpad panel of System Preferences, "More Gestures" tab, and switching the gesture for "Swipe between pages" from a scroll gesture to a swipe gesture.
I haven't had the problem since then. Hopefully this might help some of you.
