Fixing scratch on girlfrends powerbook...

Help.. I scratched my girlfriends powerbook.. Can I buff it out.. Help..

Not that i know of either. I scatched mine months back and have never been able to get the scratch off or fix it in any way. You might actually make it worse by trying to rub it off.

ding ding... that aluminum is coated so it doesn't corrode... you scratch that off it'll start changing colors in that area... bad news...

hence the reason i am very very careful with my powerbook lol...

do a search for "powerbook scratch" on here... i'm sure there's someway of fixing it.. though she'll never be the same again.

Are we talking one of the new AlBooks, or one of the TiBooks? You can paint the TiBooks all over and on the palm rest of the AlBooks. However, the rest of it is a character mark .

Just think, she'll remember you whenever she sees it now.

LOL, I was thinking that too. Why on earth would anyone intentionally color their food gray? Erm, sorry, I shouldn't have just come in here from the Douglas Adams thread.


Maybe you can find soome appropriate paint at a model shop? and then buff it down after you put it in on? It won't be easy though.

You could always buy her a nice sleeve or case for it. If my boyfriend scratched mine I think I'd rather he didn't try to fix it badly, but instead spent a frivolous amount on a case or some other exciting trinket. What about an acme one (www.acmemade.com)? They seem damn classy and unecessarily expensive.

ACME bags look nice, I'm sure any woman that has a PB would like one of those Tote bags. If I was the one that scatched the PB, I would say that a Tote bag would make me even. Especially if she doesn't have a stylish carrying case for it already.

If someone scratched my Powerbook, I wouldn't want a bodged fix. She will notice!

The ACME bag would be an acceptable grovelling gift!
