For some reason, Garage Band is messing up some sheet music that I want it to print.

Here's an image showing the graphical view:

and here's an image showing the notation view:

If you look at the 3rd note in the graphical view, you'll see that it's supposed to be an 8th note, same as the others, yet in the notation view (and when you print it,) it shows up as a quarter note for some reason.

Help?

Also... does anyone happen to know of some free software for writing/printing sheet music with more customizability than Garage Band? Like... there's an 18 measure rest for another part in this song. GB prints that as 18 whole rests... I'd rather have the bar rest with the number above it. And I'd like to write in the lyrics/dynamics/key signature changes/time signature changes too. Oh, and it writes a quick series of 64th notes as pairs of 32nd notes which makes sight reading the piece difficult (especially if you've never heard what the song is supposed to sound like.)

It's garageband...

If you get logic or logic express, it has pretty good notation and makes good scores.

There's always Sibelius or Finale as well.

:)

Ugh, so there's no easy way of editing the GarageBand interpretation, other than re-recording the piece?

Not even re-recording will work. It'll screw up the sheet music the same way every time. At least it's consistent like that.
