In the iOS6 native Mail app, I set up my gmail account using the Exchange server setup so that I can get emails pushed to me, and all works well except I can't seem to flag messages. On my work email Exchange account I can just push the little flag icon and select "flag message" but for gmail it doesn't show that option, only "mark as unread".

I noticed that if I set up my gmail account using the "gmail" icon in the Mail app add an account screen instead of using Exchange, the flagging thing does seem to work but not if it's setup as exchange, and I need it setup as Exchange to get Push email.

Is there any trick to making this work in Gmail setup using the Exchange server settings?
