Flakey Internet in Safari and iTunes..but not..

These problem became more common after upgrading to Leopard....

Almost daily or every other day the internet connection in Safari or iTunes will stop, with pages constantly loading.. nothing shows up, BUT

my Torrents and AIM seem to work great while Safari and iTunes are being Dumb. What's going on here? Usually a cable modem reset does the trick
