I have an odd issue that I'd appreciate suggestions in how to diagnose / fix.
My family has 3 MacBooks, and a Mac Mini. We use an Airport Extreme to provide wifi. The Extreme is connected by Ethernet cable to a cable modem (VirginMedia in the UK).
In general, this is a very reliable set-up.
However, recently, one of the MacBooks (which is one of the first 2006 Intel-based MacBooks) has had very intermittent internet access.
Running Network diagnostics on the MacBook shows that the issue is at the ' Internet' and 'Server' levels, which change from green to red and back to green within a few minutes repeatedly.
The Network Settings through to ISP indications remain green.
Ordinarily, I would assume that this is an ISP issue, such as a DNS issue. But this is only affecting one machine, but badly.
Any suggestions as to what the problem could be, or how to get better diagnostics would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
