I have a 32gb flash drive that no longer shows up on the mac. It was formatted as FAT32. I mostly use it to transfer files between bootcamp and macos. It's one of those orange Lexar USB 3.0 drives.
Periodically, it hasn't mounted on macos. It doesn't even show up in the usb device tree (under "System Information..."). It doesn't show up in disc utility, either.
Under Windows, it does appear. Windows does pop up the autoplay menu. And after I boot back in macos, I can read the drive again.
I've ordered a replacement in case the drive is dying, but I wonder if there is some sort of fix that doesn't require bootcamp.
