Hi. I have a 250Gb 09 MBP, and i sometimes use a portable flash drive to transfer files to another computer. I initially had a 2Gb generic flash drive which worked without a hitch. But then i recently acquired an 8Gb Transcend flash drive, which when inserted into the Mac is always unrecognized / unreadable. The only way i can get it to work is to insert it before booting up. Both are FAT32-formatted. My question is : why does it work on the former and not on the latter? Btw, both flash drives are readable / writeable on the Windows BC side.
