Flash - Maths and pixels ??

Hi,

I have a square grid with 100 grid squares in it.

I want the cursor to display its grid position.

Does Flash plot the position based on pixels - ie would my grid square have to be 100x100px or a multiple of that eg 200x200px ?

Or could it calculate the position no matter what size the square was? eg 186x186px ?

Hope someone can help...
