Flash Player video stutter

I have not tested this on other operating systems but..
When playing flash videos on websites such as http://www.colbertnation.com/, the video skips around every couple of seconds.
This happens on chrome/safari/firefox on every version of flash i install, including the latest release.
I am running 10.7.4
Is this happening to anyone else or just me??
