flash video and imove

I have downloaded some rather funny stuff some friends put on youtube. What I have is 4 chuncks of video in the .flv format. My problem is two fold.

1) I want to stich these 4 files into 1. That way when I run them through hand brake I get 1 file to puy on my iphone.

2) the second portion of my problem is How do I get imovie to work with flash video so I can trim out the portion of these videos I don't need. If imovie isn't an option what is?

iMovie doesn’t work with flash files. You’ll need to convert the files into a useable format like mp4 or something.
