Hey folks, I like many here are running SL. In my case I'm using a 13" MBP w/ 4GB on the 128GB SSD. Super fast machine, but like all other Mac users the Flash performance (especially video) sucks. I was at a friend's house last night; she's running a 2-3 year-old Dell netbook type machine that chew through flash videos on youtube like nothing. When I run Flash on my Mac Mini or my relatively new MBP, it's still choppy often times and 1 CPU is 100% spiked (although it appears as 50% on both cores in iStat).
NetFlix runs Silverlight and appears pretty solid actually, but Hulu can be a rough experience.
Anyway, this is a known issue but does anyone know if there's a fix somewhere in the works? As I understand it, this is more Adobe's fault, but either way it's a huge FAIL.
UPDATE: I failed to mention that both the DVD player and Quicktime even when playing the highest quality video I can find barely seem to cross 10% on iStat. It's really just flash through Safari (I haven't tried Firefox much since Safari is so much faster overall)
