I have a 2006 Mac Mini core solo, 512megs of ram, 1.5 ghz, bought new, and always worked fine with Firefox using 10.4.5.

A couple months ago, Facebook started crashing, and I thought it was because of the new thing where you can tell if your friends are online, but now about a third of all websites crash, and they all use Flash, so I get the newest Flash, install, and it still is crashing. I use Safari instead, and it crashes.

Anybody else have that? What can I do?

I have used Safari before, but I prefer Firefix now. Give it a try and see if it works better on your websites. The latest version is zippier too.

Is this it? It says it learns mistyped words...does it also fix the Flash thing?

I just downloaded Opera, and installed the newest Flash player, and it still crashes...

WTF?

Thanks. Yeah, it's gotta be dialup. Darn...they force you to upgrade:(

Download the flash uninstaller from Adobe,

http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html (bottom of the page)

Uninstall your flash player, try going to those websites which you have problems, if they are still crashing, it shouldn't be your flash player. If they are now viewable, resintall with the latest flash player.

Sometimes, installing the latest flash player doesn't overwrite your previous copy.
