I am trying to find a list of 8800 cards that work in a 1st gen mac pro. So far it seems some evga, pny and xfx cards work. Any other brands? The card I am interested in is the ECS card with passive cooling.

Has anyone tried this one flashed with a efi32 rom? I think it would be really great to have a passive cooling card which is much faster than the 7300gt card.

Thanks.

That almost doesn't look like it would fit in the case.

If it has an 128k ROM then you should be able to flash it. I'd go to the EFI 32-bit thread and check that out.

It seems it will fit there. I saw someone using the cooling device in a mac pro. The question is just whether the card can be flashed, or whether it has a 128k rom. I did check that thread, but nobody mentioned that card.
