Phones Flashing A Rom On HTC One

Hello, I am thinking about flashing a ROM and have a few questions. Does it void your warranty? Can I reverse it? What ROM should I flash/install and will it brick my phone? Also I'm running a Telstra Australia 4.2.2 Android version and if I had to send it away for repair could I find the ROM or version anywhere?
