Flashing a stock HD2600XT Graphiccard

Hi


I have a Mac Pro 3.1 with a "non Mac" Graphiccard. Now I have to do some new installing and need the Bootscreen.
Since I don't want to buy a HD2600XT Mac Edition Card, my Plan is to buy an HD2600XT and flash it with a mac Firmware.

Is it possible to access the boot screen by doing this?
If yes, is there a guide available?

There's no PC 2600XT with EEPROM large enough to accomodate Mac ROM.
Every single one needs soldering before flashing.
