I have an airport express connected to my Linksys ADSL modem gateway switch as well as an iMac hard wired to the modem. Both the wired and the wireless (via airport express) work fine (the airport configured as a LAN via DHCP) but the airport express shows a continuous flashing amber light rather than a solid green. Have I got something wrong here?

I think that means it can't find an internet connection. Is it connecting to the 'net? :)

BTW, you can turn the light off in AirPort Admin Utility, if you choose.

Are you sure about that? The only two options I have are "Always On (Default)" and "Flash On Activity". I'd like to turn the light off but I didn't think you could, at least I can't find the option. Is there some other way to achieve this?

You're right. I swear the option used to be there. I turned mine off a while ago (have since turned it back on), but the option's not there anymore. Sorry.
