So the batteries in my bluetooth Mighty Mouse are (supposedly) running low. I know this because the Bluetooth indicator in the menu bar is flashing (I still have 30% power).

Anyone know how to turn it off? I deselected the "Show Bluetooth status in the menu bar" option in the prefs, but it didn't make it go away.

Help, it's driving me nuts!

Try changing the batteries.

Well, yeah. That's the plan. But I don't want to change batteries that will work just fine for another week or two. Seems like a waste of money. I'd just like to get the damned blinking to stop. It's driving me nuts.

buy rechargeable batteries. they don't hold their charge as long as standard batteries, but over the long term, they are MUCH cheaper than standard batteries, and they are kinder to the environment as well.
