flashing question mark , disk warrior won't boot?

hey guys i got a 17 inch macbook pro

mac os version 10.5.4 , my mac won't boot , instead i have flashing question marks , i tried to boot through installation disk , tried verify disk and i get a message that that there is underling task problem, i also tried to to boot through safe mode that won't work either

i just bout disk warrior v4 which is supposed to work with my mac but it won't boot when i hold down c instead it ejects by itself , any explanations for that??

and is there anyway that i can retrieve my files , its been over a week now and its becoming an obsession for me to fix and retrieve my files ,

any help is much appreciated.

Don't know if this will help but try resetting the PRAM/NVRAM:

If not, take a look here:

If not, take it into a Genius Bar. Good luck, report back your findings.

Also, try holding down the Option (alt) key on your Macbook instead of the (c) key when it starts up (before the chime and grey screen).

And why are you so far behind in updates? 10.5.4 is ancient.
