Flashing Question Mark!!

Hi guys, i have a flashing question mark when i boot, changed hard drive and cable, and still the same issue persists, what shall i do?

OP, what do you mean you changed the cable? Are you booting from an external device? So two HDs and two cables all failed?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but how did you boot after you installed the new drive and cable? Did you boot from a USB drive or something then format the drive and install the OS? If you boot from a USB key or similar can Disk Util see the hard drive?
