iPhone X Flashlight turns on from lock screen and can’t turn it off

This is very irritating and often I don’t notice it right away especially during the day or in a lighted room.

Is there a fix?

Make sure you're pressing and holding the flashlight button - it's not a tap but a press and hold till it activates. Not sure what iPhone you've got but that's how mine have work.

It’s a manual toggle that isn’t aware of day/night or lighting conditions. Press to turn on. Press to turn off.
