Flat Bed Scanner

Hello,

I'm looking for a flatbed scanner to scan photographs and images. I was using an HP scanjet 8200 but it's not supported by SL 10.6.3 apparently according to HP.

Can anyone recommend another that is, that is good quality? I think I want a larger capacity scan size which is equivalent to the 8200. The scanning area is 14x9”, I'm not sure what the scan size capacity is, but I have scanned a variety of size images on this.

I have a mac pro set up, so I'm posting this here as well just in case anyone else here also uses this type of scanner and can suggest one.

I've been using an Epson 4990 for 3+years now with no issues. Integration with SL was easy... no driver to load. As I've had this for a while now, I'll bet Epson has a newer model that would work just as well or better. Quality is very good.

You should try VUSCAN, this program will give you access to all kinds of scanners, I use it with a very old HP model (6200) and works ok under 10.6.3
