Hi all,

I came across an odd problem with the trackpad on my MBP today.

I've got my MBP set up on my desk with a flatscreen on the wall next to it, which I use as a TV/second screen. I have noticed that this seems to interfere with the trackpad when the MBP is running on battery power and it isn't connected to the screen via Thunderbolt. The trackpad gets very jerky and erratic and becomes practically unusable. Bluetooth mice work fine.

Either plugging in the Magsafe PSU or connecting the screen via Thunderbolt (without using the PSU) fixes this. Moving the computer further away as well.

Resetting the SMC and PRAM didn't do anything.

Not a massive issue obviously, since I'm mostly plugged in when at this desk anyway, but just curious as to what might be causing this odd behaviour.

Edit: Obviously, this only happens when the second screen is switched on.
