Hi all,

So I'm not sure if I'm more critical of noticing this but ever since I took the bottom cover off of my MBP 17" (and it does do that "pop" noise when it is removed) I've started noticing that the bottom cover flexes (gives in) when you apply pressure to it. Is this normal? I cannot imagine I damaged (bent) the cover when I initially removed it.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure it popped when you put it back- there is a clip in the center that helps keep it from flexing. If you see it is slightly warped, press it down firmly on a flat surface and it should pop in.

Thanks Dave. It did pop back in when I put it back on so I'll try taking it off and checking that clip to which you refer. Unfortunately don't have the screw driver close to me.
