I purchased the MBPr when it first came out. I've constantly had issues in safari where for example, when scrolling through the different articles on yahoo's homepage, the main picture of each article will overlap and flicker over the new one for a second or so. There's also been times where I am typing in a text box on safari, and my text will disappear for a second or so, flicker, then reappear. Every time I would restart the notebook, the problem would temporarily be fixed, but then begin to happen again. I dealt with AppleCare for 3 weeks, giving me "fixes" that never worked. Now I've been dealing with a Senior Advisor (who has been excellent), but still am with the same computer, same problem. He had me send it in for repair, after showing him videos of what was happening. Even with the videos and explanation, they couldn't "reproduce" the problem, and sent it back unfixed (aka they didn't give it the couple hours it took after restarting to allow it to show up again). Now through the senior advisor, I'm back and forth with engineer's who had me re-install OS X on a partition, and it continued to happen. Now they want to see if it happens with flash uninstalled on the partition.. Literally I've been dealing with this ridiculousness for the past 6 weeks!
I'm new to Macbooks, and curious, at what point do they replace this computer i spent $2200 on, and still isn't working right after 6 weeks of "fixes". Is it realistic at this point to demand a new computer? Like I said, first experience with Macbooks, and not sure how easy Apple is with throwing a new one your way. I feel I would've had a new iPhone in my hands by now if it were the problem.
