Flickering iPhone 5 rear camera

My rear camera is acting weird lately
The device is on iOS 7 for already a few weeks and never had problems.
What's likely the cause, software or hardware? It's only The rear camera

You'd better go to the apple store, I think It could be hardware problem

have this problem since day one. after this flickering the camera hangs. after restart it starts working fine. took it to apple store but since my iphone was damaged due to falling down they asked me 200$ to replace.

Mine wasn't as bad as the example posted above, but I backed it up to the Cloud, took it to the Apple Store, and had it swapped for an exchange refurbished unit.

Agreed, a trip to the Apple store would be a good idea.

My frens have same problem with iOS 7, but after restore to iOS 6 and the camera problem gone.
