Hi,

I saw a little bit strange problem... When I was at Apple's album app, I saw at white area flickering. It was at ~ 30-40% of brightness with True Tone "on". It's not the PWM that you can see at videos at YouTube or few topics at MacRumors. It is nearly noticeable. It stays for 0,5-3 seconds sometimes.

I don't know what cause this issue, but I think it's more like software bug. I didn't see it at other apps. On the other hand, some people see it at different levels of brightness and with True Tone "off".

Yes I had this issue on my prior XS Max and my replacement XS Max.

The issue can be reproduced by sliding the brightness slider up and down past the ~18% brightness mark. The adjustment in brightness is abrupt at the point and it looks like a slight flicker as the brightness adjusts up or down past this point.

Very annoying. Every XS and XS Max that I’ve picked up has this issue.

I don't think this is it... I found out, that in my case it's noticeable at ~40% of brightness, only with True Tone "on" and only in Camera roll. If you set brightness to auto, take a picture and then go with your iPhone to environment where brightness goes up and down (e.g. turn on and off light in your room) and then you will see at camera roll (more precisely at white bar above picture) some kind of flickering.

As I said before - I don't see it at any other app, so I assume it's just a bug. I will report it to Apple.
