Flickering screen @ External Screen with MBP 17"

Hi!

I've connected my Dell 24" screen with a mini DP to VGA connector to my MBP 17". I've noticed that in 1920x1200 resolution my screen "flickers" once every 10 minutes for 2-3 seconds. This isn't happening when Im changing the resolution to 1920x1080 or energy saving settings to High Performance.

Do you have any idea how to make it right?

P.S. None of the solutions above is satisfying for me ;/
