Flickering screen?

hey, just bought my mbp on saturday and everytime i open the lid out of sleep, the screen flickers slightly like an old tv set for about 20 secs until it fades out! should i get a replacement? anyone else had this?

Hm...perhaps a connector to the display or the graphics card itself has an issue.

does this do it ALL the time?
becuase usually with these new LED displays they should all be instant on without the way the previous MBPs would flash and take moment to get the display right.


if is continuous i'd take in to see some options and if its possible to try a new one.

I am pretty new to mbp's so I don't know if this helps your situation or not, but I thought I was having flickering problems too. I finally went to system preferences -> displays and unchecked the box that says automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes. hope this helps

i just went back to the apple store and showed them the flickering out of sleep and they instantly replaced my machine!
