Just upgraded to a new mac mini and theres some screen flickering, it happens at random intervals, during watching a movie or just browsing it'll flick off and come back on after 1-3 seconds, using the HDMI out direct into an HDMI in on a tv set... anyone know anything about this?

Sounds like a bad cable shielding. Try a different cable.

I have tried a few, still happens, so would it be something wrong with the HDMI port on the mini then?

Tried it on all the inputs on the TV (brand new last week too) and they're all fine, no flickering with same cables from PS3/Apple TV or my older Mac Mini (2009) that I used before getting the current one
