Hi,
I have a Macbook Pro Mid 2012. I changed out the HDD for an 250 GB SSD and replaced the DVD with the old HDD. Everything works fine and the machine has been given a new lease of life. On my machine I use the old HDD as my dropbox folder with no problems. I did the exact same thing on my wifes MBP and ran into the following problem....
The problem comes with syncing dropbox. The 500 GB HDD which is reformatted and totally empty fills up before the sync can be completed. Using selective sync function in Dropbox means that it should only use about 320GB of space but I always receive the same message before the sync is complete, "sync cannot be completed, Not enough disk space".
This has happened several times know and is frustrating to the max. When I check Disk utility sure enough the disk is full, although in Finder only 320GB is used by Dropbox and nothing else is showing on the drive. Something is clogging up the drive. As far as I can see no other programs are using the drive. Has anyone else see this happen? is there a solution?
Thanks in advance for your help and advice
