So my wife and I both just went on the same walk. I have the latest (5) she has the (4) and we both brought our phones. End of the walk, I have gone 8 flights, and she has gone, wait for it, 64 flights.

What the actual?

How is it trying to calculate these things?

I believe that flights also takes into account the barometer (used as an altimeter) to calculate your change in altitude.
also GPS is also much worse at figuring out altitude than it is your location.
because it uses the barometer, if there was "big weather" recently, that can throw it off.

It's possible her watch just got "lost" for a bit.
if you go into the flights climbed section in the health app on the phone, then scroll down to "show all data"
You can see a breakdown of when those flights were recorded. It seems to be broken down in chunks up to 10 mintues long. you can also delete some of them in this window if you want.

calibration seems to be only distance related, as it's calibrating your stride length. but a reset probably wound't hurt.
