there seems to be a new version out that works fine with quicktime 7.0.4.. has anyone here tried it yet? im curious b/c i had a really bad experience with the previous one crashing my quicktime.app a lot.

I believe the 2.0.1 release fixed all the problems with 7.0.4 and the newer 2.0.2 is for added web compatibility. They have both worked great for me.

STILL can't play video files at NBC.com - mainly concerned with the video clips from Leno. Tried in Safari and Camino.

I've had no problems either. I was using 2.0.1 for a long time and recently upgraded to 2.0.2. I've used them with every version of Quicktime 7 as well.
