iPod touch 4G has a 256 RAM chip, however an app shows that I only have 181.45 MB of total memory. That is 70MB that I should have!!!

Is it always like this? I know GB capacity are not close to advertising but I had no idea RAM is also below its stated memory.

Or would this be a malfunctioning, inaccurate app?

Those memory apps are often very wrong and inaccurate.

ahh Thanks.

I was running Appzilla by the way. Will run SBsettings once I get my hands on it and see what happens.

Of all the apps I would expect SBsettings to be provide the best info.

I am a paranoid memory fanatic but it would show I had very little space around 8 MB yet I was still able to open apps. These apps did not make sense now I know they are not accurate I don't bother checking no more how much memory I have left.

181mb?? I think thats off a bit because the highest I have ever gotten is 131mb most of it is used by by the operating system
