Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone knows of a program/application that converts flv files into other formats such as mpeg/divx etc
I'm using MacOSX 10.4 and running Tiger, I've done a search but can't seem to find anything thats out there for macs!
Please help!!!!

I use iSquint to convert the .flv's I download off YouTube.

It's an iPod converter, but you can mess around with the settings to make it viewable on a computer.:apple:

I used to use iSquint, but that stopped working for me, so I now use ffmpegX, and it works wonders. It can convert pretty much any audio/video file format into pretty much audio/video file format. It can even convert a video file into an audio file!!

If you install Perian then you'll be able to play FLVs directly in Quicktime, without lossy conversions. (Not that FLV are usually of that high quality to begin with...)

For YouTube content, the Tooble / Perian combo is pretty unbeatable.
