.flv files on iphone now?

I was just watching some .flv quicktime files on my iphone (the web address said something something flv. Isn't that flash?
 
the extension doesn't have anything to do with what's inside. If the video was playable on your iPhone, then it was encoded in H.264 (Quicktime Mpeg4).
