Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows a freeware program that can convert Flv files to avi. I've looked all over but they are only compatible with windows.

I'm pretty sure ffmpeg is able to handle them, and I think the favored GUI is ffmpegX, but I can't comment in that specifically, but I'm pretty sure ffmpeg whould be able to do it.

Install the Perian codec for Quicktime. A must have for any mac IMO. This will let you play FLV movies with quicktime.

Then choose File -> Export. Choose the name you want to save it as, the location, and choose "AVI" from the dropdown menu. Click "SAVE".

Done! :D
