FLV (youtube) to editable format using compressor

I use download helper to rip some video off youtube and they are in the FLV format.
I have tried to use compressor to convert these files into something a little more edit friendly, especially since I am using mixed media (converting to HDV 720)

I have been using toast 10 just cause it works, but it's SLOOOOOOW.

I just open the FLVs in MPEG Streamclip (don't forget to install Perian) and export away.

Given what you are trying to do, your signature is quite ironic
