here's a daft problem that's started on my imac g5

when you eject a disc instead of coming part ways out

and remaining sticking out - the discs go flying out the side

onto the floor.

a mere detail you may say but dead annoying anybody

know a cure to prevent me breaking my neck trying to catch

them as they go flying across the room

I bet it's annoying.

It's basically the cloth type thing in there that holds the disk.

yeh its gettin more and more annoying

its one of these things that you wonder whether its in worth getting uptight
about, because its a little / massive thing. it really is gettin to me now.

no applecare (sadly)

its like a nylon/cloth skirt thats supposed to hold it in and probably only
apple could fix it

You could buy a dog and hope it's good at catching frisbees. You know how they leap in the air and catch them in their mouths?

Just hold your hand out about 5 inches from the computer and let it "jump" into your hand.

Sure, it might sting for a second or two, but at least you won't break your neck.
 
Have any enemies? Aim your slot loading drive towards people you don't like and EJECT! Don't forget to sharpen the outer edge of the CD before, though, and aim for the jugular.

Ya i agree on this! Im sorry your comp is giving you trouble but just picturing this has got me laughing! Id love to see it in action. :D
